You would think that knowing what you truly desire would be easy but it isn't and this is proven by the fact that so many of us still don't know what our heart truly desires and are feeling like we have no purpose in life or lost with no apparent signposts to lead us to a destination or goal. This is because we are conditioned to think with our minds and not our hearts. To attract abundance and the tools necessary to build the life you want, you must first discover what it is you desire and to do this you have to start learning to think from your heart, not your mind.
So many of us still don't know what we want to be, do or have and this is because we use our brain to find the answers and this is wrong. Firstly, the brain can only get its answers from what it has already experienced in your past, from what it has already learned and thus we are already defeated because it's impossible for the logical mind to see possibilities. The mind is all about learning and survival because it draws on experiences from the past to help us make decisions about our future. The heart, however, is limitless in its possibilities because it is connected to our higher self or our source energy where the possibilities are endless and where we can discover why we are really here on this earth and then easily attract abundance and peace into our lives.
Before we came to this physical existence, we choose our starting position, our nationality, parents and life purpose. However, we didn't intend for us to know what our life purpose was from the beginning of being in physical form because that would be boring and just too easy. We have to discover our true life purpose in the course of this physical life through self-exploration and experiences. Because we have learned to become disconnected from our higher self, it means that many of us wander aimlessly without knowing why we are here. I'll give you a technique to help you find your true life purpose.
Here are the steps to finding out what you truly desire:
1. Ask yourself this question. What would I like to have in my life that I don't have right now? Write your answers down on a sheet of paper or a notebook.
2. Next, ask yourself these questions. If there were no restrictions or obstacles what would I love to do? If money was not a consideration what would I like to do? What makes me very happy? What makes me happy? What makes me laugh? What stirs my emotions in a positive way when I think about it? What do I always seem to think about when I daydream about something I'd like to do, be or have? What did I use to love doing that I don't do now?
3. The stronger your emotional response to the question, the closer you are to your hearts desire and the closer you will be to living your purposeful life where it will be easy to attract abundance.
4. Finally, once you have written all your answers down on a sheet of paper or notebook, study them and work out a score for them from 1-100. A score of 1 is something that you are mildly interested in but wouldn't really make that much effort to achieve. A score of 50-80 would signify that although it is something that you are very much interested in and would enjoy spending time doing, it is still not you hearts desire. A score in the nineties is extremely close to your hearts desire but still not quite a desire that you would give everything to have. Only a score of 100 will show you that you have found your true hearts desire. It is something that you feel and have always felt a burning passion for but something that may have been put to the back of your mind and passed off as wishful thinking or an impossible dream, but I assure you that anything with a score of 100 is without a doubt the desire that you should be and need to be pursuing if you hope to attract abundance, prosperity and wealth into your life.
