Manifesting Abundance - Where's Your Focus?

You know the question: "Do you see the glass half-full or half-empty?" This question is similar. "Do you see possibilities or do you see obstacles?" I have no idea if a "half-full" person sees only possibilities and the "half-empty" sees only obstacles. I do know that when you are setting your sights on manifesting abundance what you see is critical to success. The opportunity and wealth available... or all the roadblocks to finding that wealth

What you look at is what you see

It seems rather obvious that you would see only what you look at. I remember someone on Facebook telling me I needed to open my eyes and see reality. My response was, "Perhaps my eyes are open and they're just looking at something else." I've quit telling a friend of mine about many of my ideas. It seems that every time I mention something new and different, she finds something wrong with it. I told her once that she's like someone who likes to pull a shoot out of the ground before she discovers if it's a weed or flower. She sees the obstacles.

What if you intentionally looked for the possibilities? I know this may be difficult for those who focus on the obstacles first, but try it. Sit down and make a list of all the possibilities in the idea. It may take you some time since that's not your usual way of operating. Being one who finds possibilities, it would help me to make a list of the problems I would need to solve. Since I am a possibility kind of person, I would look at what some call obstacles as problem solving opportunities.

Opening yourself to opportunities

When your life has been geared to the "I can't" way of operating, it takes a great deal of effort to move to "I can." It's an effort well worth it. A friend was telling me she has a mentor who tells people to say "yes" to whatever the universe offers. She's begun doing that. Opportunities galore have opened up before her. Yes, she has had to confront her fear. Doing so has increased her self-confidence and bolstered the "can-do" attitude.

Fear gets in the way

People who see obstacles usually have a great deal of fear about the unknown. They attempt to find any reason they can to not step out into something beyond their experience. If this is you, the major question to answer is, "Are you going to let fear rule your life?" If the answer is "yes," oh, the wonders you are missing. If the answer is "no," then try something different today.
