There are those who live their lives in the pursuit of Biblical prosperity, and find an abundance in terms of "real life" issues such as finances, jobs, relationships, etc.
He who tills his land will have plenty of bread, but he who follows worthless pursuits
Will have plenty of poverty
Proverbs 28:19
As God himself has said, people who strive will forever be rewarded. Those that falter in their duties will live a life of poverty. Biblical prosperity will not come to people who do not even lift a finger. Yes, faith can indeed move mountains. But, faith without action cannot provide you with abundance.
In the first place, how do you qualify Biblical prosperity? Is it by counting the money that you have? Or by the amount of things you can get with your money? Living a simple and cash-strapped life might not be what you had in mind.
He who trusts in his riches will fall, but the righteous will flourish like foliage.
Proverbs 11:28
The promise of the Bible provides one with the contentment and aspiration to go on with life. Most importantly, it inspires you to move as God wishes. It is through these concepts that you can say you are His disciple.
The best part of Biblical prosperity is that it won't cost you anything. It may require you big efforts but such personal sacrifices won't feel like a burden. Instead, the ways to abundance will fill your heart until it overflows with joy.
All this shouldn't stop you from your pursuit of material prosperity. Everything that you do contribute to the type of prosperity you will enjoy in the future. Bear in mind that though everything seems to be in shambles, Biblical prosperity can surpass all things. Live a life with God.
For all you know, it may never be equated with financial stability or monetary comfort. This type of abundance goes far beyond such petty things. Of course no one thinks money can provide you everything that you need, but it sure can help!
