Growing Prosperity: 5 Things You Need to Abundantly Receive the Abundance of God!

Growing prosperity is limited by many human factors, including our ability to receive. If we were to enjoy the abundance of God according to His willingness and ability to give, there would be no poverty among us; for surely there is no lack in God!

The Giver and The Receiver

If you were given the choice to prosper according to your ability to ask and receive, or according to God's willingness to give, what would you choose?

Who would even hesitate to choose the generous giving of God? We cannot even want a blessing that God has made available as eagerly as He wants to give it to us!

Our asking is limited by human factors. And our boldest request is sure to be small compared to God's unlimited willingness to give and His boundless ability to perform what He wills.

"Now unto Him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us." -- Ephesians 3:20

God is infinite, but it is not enough that we acknowledge the infinite abundance of God. We must also believe that He is infinitely generous to give and bless us out of His abundance.

So let me ask you: Why are Christians so poverty stricken? Their God is the Most High God, possessor of heaven and earth, and rich beyond the powers of man to comprehend. Well of course, the problem is not with God the giver. The problem is on our receiving end, so let's take a look at that.

5 Things You Need to Abundantly Receive the Abundance of God:

1. FAITH

Only a little faith is required to believe that God is infinitely abundant. However, to believe that God is a generous giver as well as the possessor of infinite abundance requires an advanced faith.

We need to be convinced that God is generous, goodhearted, kind and ready to pour out His blessings upon us. To gain a personal revelation of this and increase our faith, meditating on the Word and immersing ourselves in the Scriptures is a must. This will help validate our expectations.

Faith needs to be exercised to be effective and help us grow in our ability and capacity to receive abundantly. So believe God for financial abundance, spiritual abundance, and also abundance of love, joy, and peace. Have faith in God to prosper in every area of your life.

2. RECEPTIVE MINDSET

A receptive mindset to prosper is needed to receive in a greater capacity. This requires changing our focus from a scarcity mentality, to a more than enough mentality. The world would have us focus on lack, shortages, and loss to destroy our abundant mindset. But, God is the God of more than enough and we should not put limits on Him. Our focus should be on the abundant promises in His Word.

Whatever you lack, believe God for it and expect to receive. Believe that God will supply all your needs; believe that He meets your needs and provides for those who seek Him.

3. RESPONSIBILITY

A serious responsibility goes along with the abundance that is manifested in our lives. Selfish stewardship over the gifts, talents, and blessings we receive can destroy their usefulness and our ability to receive more.

The gifts we have been blessed with are meant to be used to benefit others; not only ourselves. We are blessed to be a blessing.

4. GENEROSITY

Generosity opens the door to receiving. Giving and receiving go hand-in-hand. The more we give the more we receive. A generous heart is the heart of God and those with a generous spirit are blessed.

"Give, and it shall be given to you. Good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over... For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you." -- Luke 6:38

5. THANKFULNESS

It is impossible to be too thankful to God, but it might be good to try. It is God's will that we give thanks in everything. (1 Thessalonians 5:18) Those who maintain an attitude of gratitude also keep their ability to receive wide open.

Now what? Are you ready to receive in a measure more in keeping with God's liberality? If so, then it is time for you to make these five things part of your life and abundantly start receiving the abundance of God.

May your ability to receive continue to increase and move you into an abundant life of growing prosperity!

6 Things You Can Do Right Now For More Abundance and Prosperity

Show a little gratitude.

The first (and maybe the most important) thing to do right now is to shift into an "attitude of gratitude." Your mind has a tendency to focus on all the negative things in your life and ignore the really wonderful accomplishments you have achieved. To move forward in your life with more success, you must give yourself positive reinforcement. Get a journal or notebook and start writing at least five things you are grateful for every day. Do not underestimate the power of this exercise! You can start changing your life at this very moment by expressing appreciation and writing in a gratitude journal. Want to know another little secret? The universe loves appreciation and will reward you with even more abundance once you start to be truly grateful for what you have.

Celebrate luxury.

If you want more abundance and prosperity, then you need to enjoy and celebrate the abundance you already have. Pull out your special china and display your valuable possessions. You are worth it. You deserve to experience the finer things in life right now.

Create a vision board.

Buddha taught us "your mind is the forerunner of all things." If you know anything about the law of attraction then you know that what you think and feel is what later manifests in your life. A vision board is a great tool for manifesting money. It helps to transform any negativity into something more positive and life-affirming. Choose images that represent your idea of abundance and prosperity. If you want to take it to a deeper level, create your own unique piece of art that portrays the essence of what abundance is for you.

Transform your home into a symbol of abundance.

Your home communicates messages to you both consciously and subconsciously 24 hours a day! If you want more prosperity, you must create a feeling of wealth and luxury. Include "abundant" colors like purple, red, gold, green, blues, and yellows. Use accessories and artwork that depict wealth like fresh flowers, lush landscapes, or financially successful people. Use good solid furniture and durable materials in your home. Flimsy furniture and cheap materials broadcast, "I have no money," so make sure your furniture is stable, solid, secure, and well-built. Make home repairs. A shabby, unkempt home equals lack. Surround yourself with your idea of abundance. Maybe it is luxurious fabrics, lavish houseplants, opera music, or a china tea set from a thrift store that makes you feel like a queen. For me, it is richly textured textiles and big bunches of flowers.

Use feng shui to assist you in attracting more abundance and prosperity.

Feng shui in the home is effective for numerous reasons. It promotes good fortune by: enhancing beneficial energy; focusing intention; identifying and correcting subliminal messages in your home; and creating a sacred space that nourishes your mind, body, and spirit. I love using the feng shui bagua because it allows me to focus on a specific intention. Where intention goes energy flows.

Eradicate any feelings of want or lack.

Feelings of neediness repel abundance. There are many ways to do this, but I think the most effective method is the Release Technique or the Sedona Method. Both of these methods were developed by Lester Levenson--an amazing teacher who discovered that if you can rid yourself of all attachments and aversion, then you can have anything you desire. It is a wonderful technique to begin manifesting wealth immediately.

For Abundance and Prosperity, Choose REAL Wellness Over Prevention or Moderation in All Things

Sometimes, well-meaning doctors and health promoters assume too much. For instance, they fail to clarify differences between one thing and another. As a result, the public fails to appreciate certain ideas that could affect the quality of their lives. I think the differences between prevention and wellness (faux and REAL) have been poorly communicated by health educators and others.

Think of health as a continuum from one extreme to another. Picture a range of health status from death/illness across an imaginary divide to plain vanilla health. It's an idea as simple at sick or not sick.

Inasmuch as most people are overweight, unfit and fond of numerous dreadful habits that diminish health status, it's safe to conclude that most lifestyles tend to cluster on the illness side of the continuum. Doctors and health educators spend most of their energy dealing with problems, seeking to deal with sickness, reduce risks and prevent things from getting worse. Wellness lifestyles of any kind are not the norm.

Why is this so, given the high costs, dangers and grim results of poor lifestyles.

To REAL wellness enthusiasts, it seems that feeling good would be reason enough to invest time and energy and, if necessary, blood/sweat and even tears to pull it (a positive lifestyle) off. You would think everyone would want to be moving to the right or super healthy side of the above continuum. Alas, not even basic healthy lifestyle patterns seem attractive or sustainable for most people. The price simply seems too great. The sacrifices are judged too great to endure, the barriers to realizing good health are set too high and the requisite exertions must appear too strenuous. In summary, the costs seem too great a price to pay.

This might shock health educators and some physicians, but I think those with dreadful or mediocre lifestyles have been on the receiving end of too little wellness and too much prevention. Prevention does not appeal. It demands that people give up too much good stuff. It offers few pleasures in return, save the absence of adverse consequences, eventually, at some time in the distant future. Reckless lifestyles don't want to hear this, so they manage to disregard such warnings. We need a massive shift toward the right side of the continuum.

If the health message were more about lifestyle pleasures, joys, payoffs and fun rewards of wellness initiatives, including the crucible of exercise, well, that might make the critical difference. Another alternative is to present information that makes everyone a little nervous but grabs their attention, as Grant Donovan and I did back in 1993 at a wellness conference. We gave a session on three topics everyone cares about but fear to discuss - freedom, drugs, religion and sexuality. Who would not find wellness relevant and compelling when put in that context? Especially when you consider that the session was entitled "The Wellness Orgasm" or "WO" for short.

Getting back to exercise, unfortunately (or fortunately, in another sense), exercise is one part of optimal health no messenger can sugarcoat: fitness does require hard labor, day after day - for life. Becoming and staying fit is hard work. Even for those who have all the advantages (genetic gifts, athletic predispositions, supportive cultures, the social and economic means to support exercise habits and so on). Imagine how intimidating exercise advice is for the unfit lacking any or all of these noted advantages. Prevention messages will rarely suffice.

Those fortunate few who have managed to experience the rewards of the wellness side of the continuum have a great advantage on the rest. They have gained sufficient pleasures from daily exercise routines, however vigorous, time-consuming and fatiguing, to fuel a desire to continue such practices. Prevention summons up images of dread: The experts are reminding you about something that must be done for good health. You know it to be true, but the resistance is daunting. On the other hand, those addicted to the odd pleasures associated with strenuous exertions make the time for it. The positive payoff is worth the costs. That is another difference in prevention and REAL wellness. With prevention, there is too little emotional connection with the payoffs of living well. The majority who do not exercise or choose healthy foods or follow any of the recommended practices most of the time find it difficult to feel what it's like to be exceptionally well.

With prevention, the whole idea of a healthy lifestyle seems optional and a bit luxurious. Yes, it would be nice to lower exposure to one disease or another but, what the heck, such unpleasantries are surely years if not decades away. Reforms can always be made later.

Prevention and traditional health education, which constitutes the menu at most so-called worksite wellness programs, has limited appeal. It is time to transition from medically-focused, left-brain warnings about the dangers of NOT choosing healthy lifestyles. Toward what? Toward right-brain feeling state connections between choices made daily and positive qualities available now. Including bust-your-buns exercise, or at least going for a good walk twice a day or the equivalent.

Maybe we should focus less on good health and more on a good life with a fit body. The good life, of course, starts with exceptional fitness. Vigorous daily exercise, every day. (OK, a day off now and then.) We who promote REAL wellness are not the first to carry on in this fashion. I suspect REAL wellness messages boosted Aristotle's career as a best-selling Greek philosopher and media star of his day (384 BCE - 322 BCE). That's what got him out from under the wing of his domineering tutor, Professor Plato. Aristotle's message to HIS prize pupil, Alexander the Great, was that REAL wellness, meaning happiness, eudaimonia and personal development to the fullest, ensues from vigorous daily exercise AND service to others. Aristotle said little or nothing about NOT smoking, carousing, drinking too much, avoiding sloth or other prevention type things. His was not a don't do this, don't do that kind of message.

Wellness is not a state of being but a process or style of living. Again, this is an assertion not unique to REAL wellness promoters, but one that faux "wellness" promoters (i.e., those who serve up prevention and risk reduction-oriented health education at the worksite) should consider. The latter is cold and lifeless - not the stuff to stir the soul or animate the best possibilities within us. The eminent psychologist Carl Rogers said as much when he described a good life. He called a good life, wellness to us, a direction, not a destination.

Of course, a feeling state for the experience of REAL wellness needs a proper context. We are not islands, as John Donne (1572-1631) noted. We're all pieces of the continent, parts of the main, involved in mankind. Try to go it alone with heroic individual efforts and bells may well toll for thee. Highly fit people need supportive, inspirational communities to get and stay that way. These might be family-based, sub-culture groups, associations and/or REAL wellness-oriented worksites with favorable life-supportive standards and customs.

In such REAL wellness environments, people know that regular vigorous exercise is expected, they feel they belong, they care about those around them and they feel respected and engaged in activities of value. Which, of course, are all elements on the right side of the continuum, REAL wellness ingredients for positive living - not prevention.

I hope this clarifies to some degree the differences between prevention and life enhancement. Choose REAL wellness - and be well. While you're at it, be sure to look on the bright side of life.

Abundance is the Natural Order of Things

The universe is abundant in every aspect and every respect, and that abundance is in continual flow. If you think lack, you are not attracting lack but rather resisting or repelling the abundant flow that is never ceasing. It's an important distinction to understand: you are not magnetic to lack, but rather repellent to abundance, which is all that is real. God is all that is real--all else is the grand illusion or Maya. Your energy field is either magnetic, in which case you attract all the good that is your due, or it is repellent in some manner, in which case you resist the good that is flowing to you. The law of Attraction is more accurately the law of Attraction and Repulsion.

Why is this an important distinction to make? Why is it important to understand that you do not attract lack, but rather that you repel abundance? And likewise, you do not attract fear, but rather you repel love. It's very important because then it becomes obvious what you need to do to change things. The first step is not to try to attract abundance directly, but rather to stop resisting the natural state of things. You need to clear the resistance patterns, because they are in the way of the natural order of things. The only way to stop resisting is to accept what is, and perceive it as the divine wisdom at work in your life. When you surrender to the present moment and accept what is, you align with the flow of life.

The Universe is always and eternally willing to flow abundant resources to you. It is as willing to flow resources to you as to your neighbour or the homeless person down the street. YOU are the one who either allows or resists the flow of the universal creative energies. The universe makes no judgment--the flows of universal energies are like water in a river. If there is an obstacle, the water's course will be diverted and it will carry on without concern.

When you acknowledge the nature of the divine universal energies: abundance, love, joy, beauty, truth, and align with those energies while surrendering to the course of life or a higher will, then you cannot NOT attract great good into your life. The only reason you may not have these energies abundantly in your life is because you have resistance to them. The key to all the good in life is to release resistance to the divine universal energies that permeate creation, and thus to life itself. For it is through life and how it appears to you that the divine intelligence will deliver its goods to you. Eckart Tolle expresses this as 'not minding what happens' in his book, The New Earth. When you are inwardly non-resistant with what happens in life, you automatically align with life and are no longer at the mercy of what happens. It is only when you resist what is that the outer world determines your happiness or unhappiness. When you are inwardly non-resistant, the outer world has no power over you.

And when you are inwardly aligned to the present moment, "your actions become empowered by the intelligence of Life itself." As you begin to flow with life, you can then envision your desires according to what is stirring in you, and you will be able to easily surrender those visions and patiently wait for the intelligence of Life to show you the way. Infinite patience is faith--so when you are patient and allow Life to respond to your visions, you become a powerful attractor point for immediate results, as faith aligns you deeply with the mind of the God and is a great power for accelerated manifestation.

If you are in lack then you must look to where you are resisting the natural order of things. Our connection to abundance is directly related to our level of inner freedom and complete acceptance of what is without giving up our internal vision for what we desire. Likewise, we must look to ways in which we are holding ourselves back in life--stifling dreams and not realizing our full potential--, in order to clear up lack-generation consciousness. Please note that I am referring to abundance that comes from our inner source of wealth, and not wealth acquired on the competitive plane...This distinction has been discussed at length in previous articles.
